Manhole is a great word. It’s a hole for men. Somewhat sexist, but personhole feels weird and woman-hole… eh, we just shouldn’t go there. It needs to just stay Manhole, PC police, leave it alone. You can’t fix this one.

I remember when Mister Rogers explained to us there are no boy holes, girl holes, or woman holes. Only manholes. He didn’t say anything about what that entailed, just that that’s how the word is. Good man, Fred. Miss you.
Yeah, the Surface doesn’t allow for easy smooth lines like a Cintiq.
Eh, I’d just go with sewer hole myself if I ever needed to come up with an alternative. It’s a hole for access to a sewer system. Admittedly, doesn’t sound quite right, but change is always weird.
“Man” is the only sound found in common in “man”, “woman”, and “human”. Let’s not divide while trying to unify, eh?
